This yellow columbine captured on the Crystal lake trail 11,000ft plus, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. It took 5 min. to work my way thru a bunch of scrub brush to get close enough for this picture.
About Thomas Samida
I was born in small town Michigan, 1953. Lot's of thing's to do outside. That has stayed with me. I never quit going outside to see and experience what's going on around me. Took a vacation to Colorado in 1985 to go backpacking. The mountains captured me. Moved to Longmont, Colorado "gate way to the rockys" in 1988, and live there now. Still held hostage by the mountains, with their ever changing beauty and harshness. I go to the backcountry as much as possible, taking pictures as I am hiking along a trail, or headed for the summit of some mountain. Capturing images to look at when ever I want. These are some of what I have been privileged to see, and experience.
